Frequently Asked Questions

  • There are many benefits to therapy. As your therapists, we will tailor services to your specific needs by listening and asking for your input. Together, we will try different strategies for your personal growth, family concerns, and interpersonal relationships, to name a few. Ultimately, we can provide as many therapeutic interventions as we see fit, but it depends how well you utilize the process and put into practice what you learn.

  • We are located near the department Stores in downtown Walnut Creek and across from Safeway. We are also about 10 minutes from the freeway and about a 20-minute walk from the Walnut Creek Bart Station.

  • No, we are not associated with any insurance providers. However, we can provide you with an out-of-network Super Bill to provide to your insurance company.

  • Insurance companies require that therapists give you a diagnosis before paying for the services. Once you waive confidentiality and have accepted to use insurance coverage, the companies also will request therapy notes detailing our sessions. Your coverage can decide the type of treatment and the number of sessions you can receive.

  • Unfortunately, we are not authorized to provide you a letter, as it is out of our scope of practice. During these instances, it may be appropriate to coordinate with your Psychiatrist or Doctor, to assist in your well-being.

  • Everyone is unique. You may only need a few sessions while others may need months to years. As you actively participate in therapy, we will constantly re-assess whether you would benefit from more or less sessions. What is important to us is that we value your time. Our wish is for you to reach your goals and gain the knowledge and skills for your personal growth.

  • In our scope of practice, we are not able to prescribe any medication, but will take a multidisciplinary approach and work with your doctor or psychologist to best serve you. An integrative approach will focus both on your mental and emotional well-being. In some cases, the combination of medication and therapy is the right treatment. It is important to note that this combination is not for everyone.

  • Confidentiality is one of our highest priorities. Successful therapy requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is not discussed anywhere outside of the sessions. We will provide you with a written copy of the confidential disclosure agreement (informed Consent), and you can expect that what we discuss in session will not be shared with anyone. Refer to our Privacy Policy.
